Ozarks Chorale To Perform Handel's Messiah




The annual Ozarks Chorale Winter Concert promises beautiful music to put visitors in the holiday mood. On December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Auditorium, the group will perform all of Handel's «The Messiah» Christmas choral pieces with full professional orchestral accompaniment, along with other classical and holiday favorites.

Also in the musical spotlight is Huw Priday from Brecon, Mid Wales, performing as guest Tenor Soloist singing the tenor solos of the Messiah. Priday has appeared with all the major British opera companies and has also shown his versatility by singing the role of 'Piangi' in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre in London's West End. His operatic career has taken him to mainland Europe singing in Germany France Sweden Denmark and Spain. With an extensive oratorio and concert career, he has traveled all over the world to Australia, America, Europe, the Middle East and the Far East.

John Two-Hawks Christmas Concert

Second Saturday Gallery Stroll

Celebrate the Art of Eureka, take a stroll through the town and enjoy seeing an eclectic collection of art!

Galleries on Spring Street and all around the town will open their doors from 6-9:00 pm. A colorful banner hanging outside each one will identify galleries participating in this fabulous fun event.

Inside, you will find all artist-made goods, ranging from gold and silver jewelry to paintings, glass, ceramic, wood and much more.

Candlelight Tour of Homes

Take a stroll through history as you tour through some of the most illustrious homes along Spring Street. The Tour includes choir music, children caroling, refreshments, docent tours of each location, jazz bands and Victorian merriment throughout Spring Street.

Tickets are available at the Eureka Springs Chamber of Commerce and at the Eureka Springs Historical Museum. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the tour. Children under 12 are free.

3rd Annual Fall All Fair

The 3rd annual Eureka Springs Fall Art Fair will take place Saturday November 24th, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday the 25th, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center, Eureka Springs, AR.

Admission to the indoor show is $2. Parking is free. Food and drink will be available. The Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center is located at 207 W. Van Buren, Eureka Springs, AR.

Mad Hatter's Ball

The 5th annual Mad Hatter's Ball will take place October 26, in the Crystal Ballroom of the Crescent Hotel. Check-in is from 6:30 to 7:30. The silent auction will get underway at the same time. There will be Hors d'oeuvres served and a cash bar will be open.

Hats required!

«After the ball is over» a War Eagle Mill breakfast buffet will be offered from 10:30 to midnight in the Crystal dining room.

Fall Antique Show & Sale

55 antique dealers from 14 different states bring their wares November 17 and 18 for the 19th Annual Eureka Springs Fall Antique Show and Sale.

A special Wine & Cheese Preview will be held on Friday, November 16, 5:30-7 p.m. The popular yearly event will be held at the Inn of the Ozarks Convention Center, (pictured at right). This is one of the kickoff events for the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas season.

Attendees will pay $10 for this first chance at the antiques brought by dealers from around the country. This fee covers all days. Regular show hours on Saturday are 10 am to 6 pm and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Admission price for this event is $ 2.50, good for both days.
